Greetings from Lusaka, Zambia! Pastor Tom here.
Last night we enjoyed sleeping in beds for the first time since leaving home. Today our group of six is taking a 8-9 hour bus ride north to Kitwe, where we'll be evangelizing for several days.
At breakfast this morning, Lauren shared Psalm 23 as a favorite Scripture reading. I was especially struck by the verse, "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." Through the death and resurrection of our Good Shepherd, our victory over sin, death, and hell is so certain and secure that we can truly relax and enjoy all the blessings He prepares before us. Such as the blessing of sharing His good news of salvation here with the beautiful children of Zambia! We can rest assured that the Lord has already prepared our entire trip, even the hearts and souls of those who hear this saving Word.
We are so excited to start teaching! May the Lord bless the gospel proclamation and grant us safe travel and good health.
Amen. What a blessing to be preaching to such an attentive audience thirsting to hear God's Word.
