First Day Teaching in Kenya - Kaylee Koenig

Greetings from Kenya!

Today was our first day of teaching. We taught at St. David Kinship Academy in Etago, Kenya. The kids welcomed us to the school with a song they had learned. 

We greeted everyone and were able to go inside. They introduced their teachers and sang and danced to some songs. They were even able to get us to all join in on the dancing. We were able to share with them the Bible lessons we had prepared and Sam had also taught them a song that we know.

After the lessons, we were able to spend time with the kids. We were able to play futbol and volleyball. After the kids had worn us out, we were able to share a meal with the teachers and then said our goodbyes.

We thank God for this opportunity to visit our fellow brothers and sisters and Christ overseas. We also appreciate all of your prayers and support leading up to and during these 3 weeks.
