Tanzania Team - First Teaching Day - Jeff

What a blessing to be able to teach the Word of God!  We had our first session at an orphanage near the seminary outside of Arusha.  The orphanage has around 20 children, around 3 or 4 years old, sleeping there plus another 80 in other homes in the neighborhood.  These kids do not have parents or other family members to care for them.  We were welcomed by the kids with a greeting song and then given a tour of the building where they stay.

It was a full day otherwise.  We started at the seminary and met with the students and faculty and some of their families.  Attached are some pictures of the group along with me and Pastor Robert’s, one of the seminary instructors, and children Innocence (6) and Onesmo (3).  I’m looking forward to hopefully sitting in on some more classes with the seminary students while we are here.  We also were able to check out the local African Cultural Center which had local art and entertainment from the region.  We also stopped in the Maasai market.  All with an end to the day at a local Arusha restaurant.  We ended the day with cards and discussion time.  So thankful for this time.
