Today we traveled two hours west to visit a Maasai tribe. The roads started out paved but as we got closer to their village the "road" got more narrow and had a lot of holes and ruts to navigate around.
When we pulled into the village a handful of children came running to us and bowed their heads to receive a blessing from each of us. There were more adults than children but that made no difference. The whole group sang a few songs for us. Then we took a turn and sang How Great Thou Art and What a Friend We Have in Jesus.
In between each of our lessons Pastor Bruce played his guitar and we joined together to sing in Swahili.
I really enjoyed playing with the children, taking their pictures and then showing them back to them and their mothers. I shared with them pictures of my grand daughters and they seemed to really love that.
They prepared a delicious lunch for us of chicken and sweet tea, which we all enjoyed.
What a joy it's been to share the good news of Jesus being our Savior. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful experience.
